If there’s one thing we learned from this weekend’s debate, it’s that only one candidate for Attorney General is focused on the issues that  matter to Virginians – issues like public safety and making Virginia a better place to find a job and raise a family. Here’s what people around the state said about the debate:

Washington Post reporter Errin Whack:

@SenMarkHerring comes out swinging against opponent in opening statement; @MarkObenshain focuses message...

Vision vs. Vitriol

06/15/2013 | News |

Can you believe it? In the first debate of the general election, Mark Herring spent the first four minutes of his five minute opening statement attacking Mark Obenshain for defending our laws and standing with Virginia taxpayers. While Herring peddles his scorched earth brand of politics, Mark Obenshain will continue to talk about his plans to improve public safety, make government more efficient, and increase personal freedom.

As the Richmond Times-Dispatch...

We Have Work To Do

06/10/2013 | News | Campaign News

We have a lot of work to do. As Attorney General, I’ll make it my job to protect our most vulnerable and to make sure that Virginia continues to be a place of freedom and opportunity.

We need cyber securities policies to meet a constantly evolving field, with programs to help individuals remain safe online and assist small business owners in keeping their data secure.

We need to do a better job of identifying and responding to elder abuse, and we need to...

It’s hard to believe that the Convention has come and passed, but wasn’t it fun? The whole experience was incredible for my family and me, and we cannot thank you enough for all of the support throughout the process.

After the Convention, I was able to take a few days off while my Dad flew around the Commonwealth...

RICHMOND—Today, the Republican Party of Virginia selected Senator Mark Obenshain (R-Harrisonburg) at Convention as the party’s nominee for Attorney General of Virginia. The nomination was made by acclamation at the motion of Obenshain’s Republican opponent, Delegate Rob Bell (R-Albemarle).

Conservative Leaders Join Team Obenshain

05/08/2013 | News |

Dear Friend:
The support Mark Obenshain is receiving from across this Commonwealth is almost unbelievable. I don’t even know where to begin in describing the depth and breadth of support Mark has received – from grassroots activists and elected officials, from long-time conservative icons and rising Tea Party leaders, from convention delegates from Arlington to Abingdon and everywhere in between.

It would be impossible to list all of Mark’s supporters, and I...
