Obenshain Campaign Announces Nearly
Half a Million Dollars Raised in June
HARRISONBURG – Mark Obenshain’s campaign for Attorney General today announced that it has raised nearly half a million dollars in the fundraising reporting period from May 30 to June 30. The campaign reported $479,916 raised and $487,044 in cash on hand, far outstripping the June fundraising records of prior campaigns. The previous high mark for Attorney General race fundraising in this reporting period was $291,704 from the Cuccinelli campaign in 2009.
Speaking about the fundraising numbers, Campaign Manager Chris Leavitt said, “We are pleased with the overwhelming response to Mark Obenshain’s focus on safer communities and greater opportunity for Virginians. We will continue to reach out to Republicans, Democrats and Independents with his positive message, and as we enter the final four months of the campaign, we will have the resources to take that message to voters all across the Commonwealth. This strong report shows growing momentum for Mark's campaign and an embrace of his positive vision for the office."
