Watch Our First TV Ad: “Mark & Tucker”

09/19/2013 | News |

I wanted to share with you our first ad of the campaign.

Mark and his daughter and driver Tucker have put tens of thousands of miles on the car traveling all over Virginia this year to talk about his detailed plans to keep Virginia communities safe and to make sure Virginia is a beacon for jobs and opportunity.

Mark has the record to back it up. He sponsored and passed multiple bills to protect families from abusive spouses. He successfully sponsored...

Remembering September 11

09/11/2013 | News |

Dear Friend,

At 9:37 a.m., twelve years ago today, American Airlines Flight 77 hit the Pentagon. New York’s Twin Towers crumbled, as public safety personnel and citizens risked all to find survivors. A fourth plane was brought down in a field in Pennsylvania. Many lost their lives. On that day, we called loved ones who were away, held our children and family members a little tighter and struggled to understand just what had happened.

Time has passed. We have...

Continuing the Fight Against Human Trafficking

08/21/2013 | News |

Dear Friend:

Human slavery hasn’t gone away. Across the globe, tens of millions of people—mostly children—are enslaved. And this horror is not confined to far away places: by most estimates, as many as 100,000 children are victims of human trafficking right here in the United States, and roughly 15,000 foreign nationals are trafficked into the country each year.

And then there’s this heartbreaking statistic: the average age of entry into prostitution is...

Rare candidate

08/08/2013 | News |

Dear Friend:

Mark is a rare candidate. He pledged to run a campaign based on substance and his positive vision – and he’s actually doing it. He’s rolling out detailed policy proposals to combat elder abuse and on other...

Safe Communities

08/05/2013 | News |

Dear Friend,

On Thursday and Friday of last week, I had the pleasure to join many friends in the public safety community at the annual Virginia Association of Commonwealth's Attorneys meeting in Virginia Beach. As a State Senator, I have relied on our Commonwealth's Attorneys to provide advice and help on criminal justice and budget issues, and have worked with them on a number of important public safety bills. As you can read from the Washington Post report,...

Tucker’s Take: 70,000

07/29/2013 | News |

Dear Friend:

We’ve added it up, and we have put more than 70,000 miles on the car since this campaign began, meeting with voters all over Virginia. I wanted to share a map of some of our recent travels and stops, from Hi-Lo Burger in Bristol to the Leesburg 4th of July Parade to The Great Machipongo Clam Shack on the Eastern Shore. People across the Commonwealth ask if I have a particular favorite place in Virginia, but sorry folks-I'll never tell! Dad’s hitting...
